April 13, 2020 4:00PM GMT — During this session, we will talk about interpolating a weather forecast, how to read a synoptic chart, as well as weather fronts. This is a vast subject that can take many years to master. This session is designed to be an introduction.

May 18, 2020 4:00PM GMT — During this session we will talk about passage planning and look into the thought process starting from getting the boat ready to checking the weather before departure. We will also be looking at alternative ports in case we have to change course.

April 9, 2020 4:00PM GMT — This is a basic introduction into chart work and the uses and parts of a chart. We will also cover how to take a true bearing and touch upon other skills that will be included in later lessons.

April 6, 2020 4:00PM GMT — No one in in there right mind would set out on the road without knowing at least some knowledge of the Highway Code, Its the same on the water during this session we will cover and introduce you to the International regulations of preventing collisions at Sea.

During this session we will cover some basic seamanship, including parts of a yacht, Anchoring techniques, rope work and various other tasks. The techniques have been tried and tested by various sailors including myself and are suitable for most cruising yachts.
